Our friend Korrin, a Mothering Arts group leader alum, who is the creatress behind Om Mamas Postpartum Kitchen has two cabbage recipes for us this month.
Cabbage is one of my favorite vegetables and full of vitamin, minerals and antioxidants. it rich in vitamin B6 and folate and is especially rich in vitamin C. Here are my two favorite recipes for cabbage that are delicious and super easy.This cabbage dish is a nutritional powerhouse with the addition of the turmeric and mustard seeds. Turmeric is anti-inflammatory and all around super spice. The high amounts of essential vitamins and mineral make mustard seeds just as powerful.
1 head of cabbage cut thin
1tsp of mustard seeds
1 tsp of turmeric
3 tbsp olive oil
salt
Heat olive oil in a sauté pan add the mustard seeds, when they start to do dance around in the pan add your cabbage and a sprinkle of salt. Cook on a low heat till it is translucent and cooked through then add the turmeric. Season with salt to taste.
